Neighborhood Revitalization & Veterans Build

The Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative is a home repair program offered by Space Coast Habitat for Humanity. The program is modeled after other successful neighborhood revitalization programs and is intended to complement other initiatives that are currently strengthening economic and resource development in Brevard.

Do you qualify?

You must meet the following criteria:
• Live in Brevard County
• Have legal ownership of your home
• Fit a specific income range (based on HUD income limits)
• Have a need for home repairs. Based on the type of repair, a payment plan will be provided.
• Cannot be a mobile or manufactured home for all preservation programs except A Brush with Kindness.

What will I be required to do?

Homeowners qualifying for the program will be required to participate in their home’s repair work in progress, known as “sweat equity.” Hours will vary based on the scope of the work,and tailored to suit the homeowner’s physical abilities.

Through its “Housing for Everyone” grant competition, the TD Charitable Foundation has awarded $125k to Space Coast Habitat for Humanity. This significant grant will allow Habitat to fund approximately 10 much needed Veteran Repairs, right here in Brevard.

“Expansion of Access to Affordable Housing”, was the criteria to award 25 grants of $125k each to fund organizations that transform lives by providing access to safe and physically accessible affordable housing. This leads to community improvements, individual confidence, the ability to successfully plan for the future and participate more fully in educational and economic opportunities.
